Having worked in the Welsh slate industry for over thirty years, Lldslate specialises in Welsh slate. The slates are quarried locally from Cwt y Bugail Quarry in the heart of Snowdonia and Penrhyn Quarry. Welsh slate is world renowned and is unquestionably the world’s best slate.

Due to demand we also offer quality slate from other quarries as an alternative. All of our products are manufactured in our workshop. Our products ranges from:

Lldslate is a family business based in Chwilog, North Wales providing quality bespoke slate products.

Arfon started at the age of sixteen working a Summer job in the local slate quarry. Bitten by the slate bug he never left the industry. Working in all areas from splitting, dressing and blasting the rock he managed several of the Welsh slate quarries including Cwt y Bugail, Blaenau Ffestiniog and Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda.

Arfon set up LLD Slate Ltd in 2007 and is now passing on his knowledge of the industry to his sons Danial and Ifan.
